£300k For Pitman

Brett Pitman’s sale to Bournemouth has brought in £300,000 for the club.

After having a successful loan spell with the Cherries, the move was made a permanent one on Thursday when he signed a three and a half year deal with the south coast outfit.

It was Keith Millen who brought Pitman to Ashton Gate in 2010, he then cost the club £800,000, but City have to bare in mind that the player would have been out of contract at the end of the season, so it made sense to cash in now.

The money generated is expected to be used for new signings.
