Bristol City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Tammy Abraham in the two one victory over Burton Albion at the weekend at the Pirelli Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Abraham was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘It’s not been a bad start to the season for 18-year-old Abraham, has it? A goal on his debut, an EFL Cup match-winner in midweek, and now a two-goal hero. The Chelsea loanee hit both goals in the 2-1 win at Burton Albion to keep the Robins in the mix at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Abraham for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Jak Alnwick (Port Vale), Elliott Johnson (Barnet), John Egan (Brentford), Jamie Turley (Newport County), Ryan Jackson (Gillingham), Brennan Dickenson (Colchester United), Conor Hourihane (Barnsley), Anthony Knockaert (Brighton), Tammy Abraham (Bristol City), Rudy Gestede (Aston Villa), Kieran Agard (MK Dons).

Manager David Wagner (Huddersfield Town).
