City have agreed to sign winger Albert Adomah from Barnet, subject to a medical.

The 22-year-old trained with his new team-mates today as the players returned for pre-season and can play on either wing.

Adomah was out of contract at Underhill, where he scored 20 goals in 120 appearances over two seasons.

“I am very excited to be here,” Adomah told bcfc.co.uk

“The deal seems to have taken a long time. The chairmen at Barnet and Bristol City have been talking for a while, but finally I am here though.

“It’s a big club, who give youngsters the opportunity to shine, so it was the right choice to join.

“I can play left or right wing or down the middle, but I prefer to play down the right. The gaffer has told me not to just think of myself as a right winger, but to go out there and express myself wherever he plays me.”

Barnet will receive compensation from us as the player is under 24 but the figure could be set by a tribunal if the two parties fail to reach an agreement.
