Bristol City striker Kieran Agard will be one face missing from the side when the new season kicks off in August.

The 25 year old striker went under the knife with a knee problem that he picked up last week while training and he could be sidelined for as long as eight weeks.

The club’s Physio Steve Allen spoke to the club’s official website saying: ‘Unfortunately Kieran suffered cartilage damage in his knee while doing some running two days before he was due back.

‘He had a bucket-handle tear of his meniscus and underwent surgery. The surgery was a success and he’s on the road to recovery now.’

Last season Agard made 45 appearances for City in all competitions and weighed in with 14 goals.
