According to reports, Bristol City are preparing another bid for Coventry`s Richard Keogh and that bid could come in time for the weekend.

The first bid that City made was turned down by Coventry, but McInnes is still in the chase.

The Bristol City manager is looking to have at least three players in place before the start of pre season games, Keogh remains a target even though Coventry are said to have made the bid public in the hope of starting some sort of bidding war.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘There is a lot of talking and probing going on at this stage. There is also a lot of speculation and clubs are posturing while assessing their options.

‘I foresee very few deals being done early unless clubs are prepared to pay over the top.

‘A lot of clubs are holding back and keeping their options open and I’m sure things will become busier as the summer goes on.’
