Bristol City took a step nearer to having a new stadium when plans for the deal were rubber stamped on Wednesday.
The Ashton Vale venue was given the go ahead after a meeting that followed up the initial green light they received back in November after supplying answers to a number of questions about the new stadium`s viability.
City chief executive Colin Sexstone was delighted with the outcome.
“It is a good result,” he told his club’s official website.
“The positive side is we’ve got through this big hurdle. There are a few more to go, but this is good news.”
