Bristol City went down 2-1 at Selhurst Park last night against a Crystal Palace side who are looking for promotion to the Premier League.

The defeat means City are now rock bottom and they have played more games than most clubs around them.

And even worse, the Robins are now also seven points adrift of safety.

Glenn Murray and Stephen Dobbie had the home side two goals up and that looked like it was the way that the game would end until an own goal by Jonathan Parr gave City a consolation right at the death.

O’Driscoll told the Press Association: ‘We have just played Cardiff and Palace away, two of the most difficult games you will get.

‘We were brave and pressed high up the pitch. We gave it our best. I would have taken the performance, but not the score, all day long.

‘Nothing fazed us, we kept going but we are bottom of the league. If you have a group if payers prepared to do that then that is gold-dust.’
