Bristol City centre half Nathan Baker will serve a three match ban after his appeal was rejected by the Football Association this week.

Having been shown a straight red card for his tackle on Josh Scowen in the first half of the two nil victory over Queens Park Rangers last weekend, City decided to appeal the decision after reviewing footage of the incident.

However the FA’s Disciplinary Panel have rejected our appeal and upheld his ban which now begins immediately.

Baker will therefore miss Friday’s televised clash with Bolton Wanderers and miss out on the upcoming games against Sunderland and Leeds United before he comes back into contention for head coach Lee Johnson.
