Bristol City manager Gary Johnson is not too happy with sections of the fans that have been giving the boss and the players some stick over the past few weeks.

City made it ten points dropped too late goals when they drew with Reading at the weekend meaning that the Robins have gone two months without a home win.

Johnson says he understands that the fans are frustrated with what has been going on but feels there is no need for the abuse.

‘Unfortunately, we`ve got some people out there that don’t mind being abusive, let’s say,’ he told the Evening Post.

‘Nobody has got an excuse for that.

‘We just have, as a club on and off the field, to keep going. We have to try to improve it when we can and we will. We will work morning, noon and night to improve it and see whether we can.

‘The only improvement you can make is to make sure the opposition don’t get the play at the end of the game that gives them the opportunity to score.’
