Fulham’s Marcus Bettinelli could come to Ashton Gate with Bristol City among those showing an interest in the goalkeeper, according to the Bristol Post.
Bettinelli, who had previously been linked with a potential move to Chelsea and has interest from various Championship clubs, is expected to leave Fulham – he wasn’t in the clubs pre-season training camp in Poland.
Any potential move to Ashton Gate wouldn’t appear imminent as the former England U21 international certainly isn’t in Lee Johnson’s announced squad for Bristol City’s opening pre-season friendly against Guernsey on Saturday.
Frank Fielding is the current number one with it anticipated back up Ivan Lucic and Jojo Wollacott will also be used during the pre-season schedule. Wollacott is the only keeper of the named in the squad for the game in the Channel Islands, youngster Max O’Leary is included too.
Johnson will used Fielding and Lucic in the game to follow.
