Doncaster Rovers and Bristol City have successfully agreed a fee for City striker Steve Brooker.

The news was broken by City’s chief executive Colin Sexton on the clubs official site and now Brooker will hold talks with Rovers over a possible switch.

Sexton told bcfc.co.uk: ‘We’ve agreed on a fee with Doncaster and now it’s up to Steve to discuss personal terms with them. Nothing is likely to be completed until after the weekend.’

Brooker had previously been on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium with a view-to-move but his stay was cut short after he suffered a calf tear during training. The striker scored in his only game at the club.
