Cardiff City have been sniffing around Bristol City target Richard Keogh.

The Welsh outfit have put in a reported £800,000 offer for the defender but Coventry have again knocked back the approach.

City are reported to have made an offer for the ex-Robin, but the bid was described as ‘derisory.`

‘We have had a written offer from Cardiff, as we did from Bristol City last week, and phone calls from a couple of other clubs in the Championship inquiring about Richard’s availability and what our thoughts are on the matter,’ Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph.

‘I have said to them that at the moment we are in contractual discussions with him and his agent regarding extending his contract and keeping him at Coventry.
