Bristol City’s Louis Carey is set to join the ranks of injured players at Ashton Gate after an incident at the training ground earlier in the week.

The 35 year old did his calf stretching for the ball and will join a treatment room already occupied by Stephen McManus, Lewin Nyatanga, Jon Stead and Cole Skuse.

But that is the only fresh concern for Derek McInnes.
The good news is that Greg Cunningham will be back in full training within the next two weeks.

The Republic of Ireland defender has missed the last 13 games since damaging his ankle in mid-September.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘His rehabilitation has involved loads of strengthening work on the ankle and he has been doing a lot in the gym so that, when he does come back, the gap to full fitness is not too great.’
