Bristol City defender Louis Carey will be with the club for a little longer after signing a new one year deal at Ashton Gate.
The 34-year-old has been with the Robins since 1995 and has gone on to make 604 appearances in two stays with the club.
Even last season the hard man managed 21 appearances even though he suffered with a broken nose, torn calf and a fractured skull.
And the player is confident of staying 100% fit for the up and coming new season.
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol, he said: ‘I’m absolutely buzzing.
‘I’ve sorted stuff out with the gaffer, I’ve got away on holiday and got away from the place for a couple of weeks and now I’m looking forward to it.’
