Steven Caulker says that there is a chance that he might return to Ashton Gate next season as City manager Keith Millen is keen on him extending his stay.

Millen would love to keep the Spurs loanee for another season-long loan deal after the 19-year-old defender proved to be an important member to the first team throughout this campaign.

City would also be prepared to shell out some cash to land the player on a permanent basis, if Tottenham were interested in selling him.

But Caulker does have an ambition to play in the Premier League next season.

“I am starting to think about what happens in the summer,” he told www.bcfc.co.uk

“I’m looking to spend more time back at Tottenham during the week before coming back to Bristol to prepare properly for the games here.

“That will allow Harry Redknapp the chance to decide if he wants to take me on the trip in pre-season.

“From my point of view it would be great if I could be part of the Tottenham squad but if that’s not the case then obviously it will be another loan.

“At the moment no one knows and I’m waiting. I’ve played in League One with Yeovil, in the Championship this season with City and it’s every kid’s dream to be playing in the Premier League.

“That’s my target and if it comes next season then that’s great. If not then I won’t be too down about it.”
