Championship line-up completed

We may be two weeks away from the release of the 2011/12 fixture list, but the 24 teams that will contest next season’s Championship are now known.

Peterborough United have made an immediate return to the second tier after ending Huddersfield’s 27-match unbeaten run with a 3-0 play-off final win at Old Trafford on Saturday.

They join the south-coast duo Brighton and Southampton coming up from League One, both of whom will be fancied to make a strong impact on the league next year.

Coming down from the Premiership is West Ham, Blackpool and Carling Cup winners Birmingham – who will face an ardous Europa League campaign on top of 46 gruelling Championship games and the defence of their League Cup crown.

Scott Sinclair inspired Swansea to a 4-2 win over Reading in the Championship play-off final, meaning the Royals complete the list of NPC competitors.
