Bristol City manager Gary Johnson will only be without Jamie McCombe for City’s vital West Country derby clash with Plymouth Argyle.

McCombe recently had surgery on both his pelvis and stomach and his absence is likely to see City field an unchanged side from the eleven who started the televised match against Wolves.

Tonight’s match is the first of five in nineteen days for Johnson’s men and in all of those games City face teams currently below them in the Championship. Johnson told the official site: ‘It’s an important game for us, whoever the opposition is, as we have five games coming up in quick succession which are vital to our season.

‘We have to pick up enough points in this period to keep us close enough to the play-off places going into the last 13 games of the campaign. There are a lot of teams capable of breaking into the play-off picture, and it will be the ones who put together a string of results now that do it.’

Plymouth have found themselves surprisingly just six points off the relegation spots after going through a current run of one win in nine games – a run no to dissimilar to the one City had escaped before moving onto their now three match unbeaten run.

Argyle have both Doumbe and Gallagher back for selection but they are without Man United right-back David Gray and David McNamee who are suspended and injured respectively.

UPDATE – MATCH WILL GO AHEAD AFTER PITCH INSPECTION.
