Bristol City have agreed a fee with Scunthorpe United for Martyn Woolford.

Terms have now to be agreed between the 25-year-old and the club and he should become a Bristol City player later on today.

The player is out of contract at the end of the season so the Iron have decided to cash in rather than lose the player on a free transfer.

City boss Keith Millen told the club’s official website: “As far as I know we’ve agreed the fee.

“Scunthorpe, quite understandably, don’t want to lose their best player because they are fighting a relegation battle.

“But I’m hopeful something can still happen today.”
