City Looking To Stop The Rot

Bristol City might have made a flying start the Championship season but in recent weeks this form has started to desert them.

The 2-0 defeat to Leicester at the weekend was the third straight defeat, something that is concerning City boss Gary Johnson who has admitted that he might have to buy in January: “we’re coming up to January and we have to assess things. We’ve given this group of lads an opportunity to show they can produce at this level. At the moment, they’re showing that they can, but not consistently,” he told the Western Daily Press.

“I’ll have to look at it and see who is good enough to carry the team through and who is not. As each game goes by, I’m finding out where we are good enough for the Championship and where we are not quite good enough.”

City are still just about in the play-off picture but have slipped down from second to sixth in recent weeks, but are still only four points behind second place West Brom. A trip to play-off chasing Hull takes place at the KC Stadium on Tuesday.
