Bristol City took another step towards Championship survival last night after drawing 1-1 with high flying West Ham United.

City had fallen behind in this encounter, but were soon back in the game when Cole Skuse tried his luck from 25 yards.

It was a good call as Hammers keeper Robert Green mistimed his dive and the ball bounced up and over his diving body.

One more goal for the Robins would have made sure of Championship football next season and would have sent Coventry and Portsmouth down to league one.

As for West Ham, it now looks like they will have to settle for a play off spot after the draw and Reading won 1-0 against Forest to secure a return to the Premier League.
