Lloyd Kelly and George Dowling are two local teenagers who have signed their first professional deals with Bristol City.

Each has signed a contract that will run until 2017, both have been with City since their early age.

Defender Kelly joined the Academy aged 12, and midfielder Dowling joined the club’s Academy aged 8.

Both have been away with the club and played in pre-season games, both have featured regularly in the under 18’s side.

City Academy manager Paul Groves told the Bristol Post: ‘It’s great news for the Academy to see two of their own progress so early in their careers.

‘Hopefully we will see them continue to improve so fans are able to see two more local players in and around the first team squad.

‘Lloyd got a taste of it with the first team in pre-season, while George has progressed quickly since playing for the Under-18s at the age of 16 last term.’
