After looking over the incident again, it has been decided that Bristol City will not be appealing against the red card shown to Brett Pitman.
City ran out 3-1 winners against Coventry on Monday, but late on in the game Pitman saw red after putting in a challenge on Jordan Clarke with his studs showing.
Manager Derek McInnes originally said that he would give an appeal some thought, but after looking at a recording of the incident, no such action will be taken.
McInnes told the club’s official website: ‘I thought it was harsh at the time but it certainly looked as though he was a bit high. There will be no-one more disappointed than Brett.’
The striker will now miss the Robins’ next three npower Championship games.
