Another poor cup night for Bristol City after League Two Oxford United came from behind to win the game 2-1 and progress into round two.

And this came after City got off to a flyer with a goal from Joe Bryan in the second minute only to see Carlton Morris level things after the break and Danny Hylton won it with a late goal.

It seems to be par for the course with City, six of their last seven attempts to get into the next round of the cup have ended with a team from a lower division walking away with the spoils.

Bryan gave City a dream start when he reacted first to a blocked effort from JET and he got the ball into the corner of the net for 1-0 with less than two minutes gone.

Oxford came back at City and thought they had equalised just before the half time whistle when Junior Brown headed home. But a glance across at the referee signalled that the goal could not stand because of an offside infringement.

But after the break Oxford continued searching for the goal and got it through Morris who thundered a volley past Frank Fielding.

And with the game heading towards extra time, Hylton made City suffer again when he stretched out a leg and slotted the ball home.
