Coach Leaves Ashton Gate

Bristol City first team coach Richard O’Kelly left the club at the weekend, resigning due to personal reasons.

With the 56 year old living in the Midlands still, the strain of travelling to Bristol was getting too much for both himself and his family.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: ‘The club is in a position now where, if the right decisions are made, it can only go one way.

‘They are in good hands and I couldn’t speak highly enough of the people I’ve worked with.

‘I wish the club all the best in the future and I’m sure they will be successful.’

Also leaving the club will be sports scientist Kunle Odetoyinbo and goalkeeping coach Nigel Spink.
