Bristol City slipped up on Tuesday night when they went down 2-1 at the hands of Coventry; it didn’t leave the gaffer in a very good mood.

Franck Moussa and Andy Webster made the most of a good first half display from the visitors, capitalising on errors in the Bristol City defence.

In the second half Coventry gave a good display on how to defend with the rain hitting them square in the face as they played against the wind, but Wes Brown still managed to grab a goal back on 82 minutes.

Cotterill said to reporters after the game: ‘We definitely deserved something from the game. But we conceded one goal from our own throw-in and the other from a corner.

‘It doesn’t matter how well you play if you make mistakes like that. But the players showed great spirit and could count themselves unfortunate not to get at least a point.

‘Both teams deserve credit for putting on that sort of game in the circumstances. Conditions were truly awful.’

The Robins now have two difficult away games against Oldham Athletic and Leyton Orient.
