Greg Cunningham knows that this weekend’s game at Portman Road against Ipswich Town is vitally important for the Robins.

Should City slip up against Mick McCarthy’s men they will have opened a gap up of eight points leaving City stranded in the bottom four and fighting for the one safe place left.

City’s major problem is that Ipswich are not now the side that everyone can beat after McCarthy has taken over and installed some belief in the players and they will be going all out to grab the points that would see them on track to getting into mid table.

Cunningham told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘There is no getting away from the fact this is a massive game for us.

‘None of us want to be in or around the relegation zone and we need to go to Ipswich and get the three points.

‘What has gone has gone and we are where we are. The only way out of it is to get back to winning games and there are a lot of those coming up over the Christmas and New Year period.’
