Danns Wanted By McInnes

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes is hoping that a deal can be sorted out with Leicester City about bringing defender Neil Danns back to Ashton Gate.

Danns has been one of City’s top performers as far as the manager is concerned; he has made nine appearances for the Robins and weighed in with a couple of goals to boot.

The 30 year old originally arrived in Bristol in November, at the time he was not part of manager Nigel Pearson’s first team plans, although that may have altered now.

‘Certainly Neil Danns is a player we’d like to continue working with,’ McInnes told BBC Radio Bristol.

‘Leicester were good enough to extend it and I think they and Neil have to restock and see where he is at.’
