City’s assistant manager Tony Docherty felt that the Robins were a stronger force in the second half of the game with Watford on Saturday.

Twice City cancelled out leads taken by the home side with goals from Marvin Elliott and Steven Davies to give City a point from a game they looked very unlikely to get anything from with their first half display.

In fact Docherty felt that City could have won the game and was ‘slightly disappointed’ not to have done.

Speaking to reporters after the game he said: ‘I think we were slightly disappointing in the first half in terms of our retention of the ball and possession and creating chances, but we certainly picked it up in the second half.

‘We showed great character to come back from a goal down on two occasions and eventually at the end we thought we could go and win it.

‘So there’s a little feeling of disappointment we couldn’t win it but I think to take four points out of six at two tough venues, Peterborough and Watford, is a good return.’
