The draw for the second round of the League Cup, re-branded the EFL Cup this season, has been made with us among those finding out who we will be coming up against.

Football League clubs came into the competition, as always, in the first round with this seeing a number of upsets secured so those clubs will now be looking to do the same in the second round.

Round two is of course when the majority of the ‘big boys’ from the Premier League also come into the mix, becoming the scalps all are looking to claim.

Dreams of League Cup glory remain on for some and will soon begin for others with the aim, as much as this competition isn’t as prestigious to many as it once was, to make it to Wembley and look to emulate Manchester City, who won this last season.

After the draw, made on Sky Sports, it is now known who stand between us and a place in the third round and that one step closer to the national stadium to compete for the trophy.
