First Win To Come At Crewe?

City are back in action this weekend after the international break and travel to Crewe Alexandra looking for a win that would take them out of the bottom four.

In fact a win would see City move onto the same number of points as Crewe who currently sit in 18th place with nine points.

But Crewe have shown in their last game that they are not the pushovers that everyone was beginning to think they were. Last Saturday they went to Preston and came away with a very good three points after winning 2-0.

And that was a vast improvement on the last three games which has seen three losses and no goals scored, even worse they conceded 11.

City lost last time out to Wycombe in the JPT, but they have had two 1-1 league draws on the bounce. One being at home to Colchester which they should have won and the other being away at Port Vale where again, they did more than enough to warrant a win.

So after a good rest, it’s all to play for and God knows we need that first win.

Vital Quotes:

Crewe manager Steve Davis: “Bristol City are a decent side who have come down from the Championship and they have a big budget and were expected to do well. They have found life hard in this league and that just goes to show how tough it has become.

“The league has improved with the likes of Bristol City and Wolves coming down and the clubs that have come up from League Two such as Bradford and Gillingham.

“Sean will be disappointed with the start they have made and he will be working hard to turn things around as soon as he can. That makes them a dangerous opponent and we will have to improve on our last two home games against Walsall and Gillingham.’

However, he trained on Thursday and the Robins hope he will be available.

Four games since he last scored, so he is due to find the net anytime now.
