Bristol City are well into pre-season preparations ahead of the Championship campaign of 2018/19 and Robins fans have probably begun noticing a trend in our warm-up matches, we’re getting quite good at taking draws so far this season.

With the only win coming in the Johnson Cup as we faced off against Cheltenham Town earlier this month, I suppose the plus point is we haven’t yet lost so far.

That continues on Tuesday as we faced Spanish side Real Balopedica Linense having travelled out for our pre-season tour and training camp this summer. Unfairly banned striker Famara Diedhiou scored a brace as we launched ourselves into a 2-0 lead, but the Estadio Municipal de La Linea de la Concepcion saw two additional strikes for the opposition and they levelled matters up inside of the final 15 minutes of the game.

Head coach Lee Johnson did rotate the pack from the Shrewsbury affair and seven changes were made, but pre-season continues to be about fitness only, so fans shouldn’t get too excited with wins or too down with losses.
