Jackson Wants Extended Deal With Shots

Bristol City forward Marlon Jackson would like to extend his loan deal with Aldershot Town, even if it means him playing out of position.

The 20-year-old’s loan expires after the Shots’ game with Morecambe on Saturday, when he is set to return to Ashton Gate.

But Jackson told BBC Surrey that he would be happy to play on the wing if it means playing first-team football at the Rec.

“Hopefully I’ve done enough to gain an extension but I’m not too sure yet,” said Jackson.

“Obviously I want to be playing football and I like playing here so it [the extension] would be good.

“There’s more confidence now. I understand playing League Two football a lot more than I did last year, which has helped me as well.

“I don’t mind playing on the wing, as long as I’m playing first-team football, that’s what I want to do.”
