After watching his side score their first goal in four games when they drew 1-1 with Coventry at the weekend, City manager Gary Johnson says his side must produce more of the same.

Johnson was not happy that his side wasted a host of chances against the Midlands outfit and called for his strikers to get their acts together if they are to stand any chance of reaching the play-offs this season.

Johnson told the club website: “We did everything we could to get up to the penalty area but didn’t make their goalkeeper work enough. That has become a bit of a trait of ours recently.

“We need to be scoring when we are on top and that is the only disappointment really.

“We did well to come from behind and should probably have gone on to win the game, but you have to put the ball in the back of the net when you get the chance.”

  • It beggars belief that he genuinely seems to think we’re in with a chance of the Play-Off’s when he should be more concerned about getting 50 points on the board first…
