Bristol City are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after the round two action last midweek.

The performance by Bristol City Josh Murphy in the three two victory over Watford last midweek was enough to earn them a place as manager of the side of the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Johnson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL.com blurb read.

‘Bristol City marched on to Round Three following a stunning second-half display to see off Premier League Watford at Vicarage Road. Johnson’s half-time introduction of Bobby Reid was one of his inspired decisions, with the in-form forward netting one as the Robins fought back to claim a 3-2 triumph.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Johnson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Will Norris (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Joe Worrall (Nottingham Forest), Joe Wright (Doncaster Rovers), Ryan Sweeney (Bristol Rovers), Demarai Gray (Leicester City), Ben Fox (Burton Albion), Kemar Roofe (Leeds United), Leroy Fer (Swansea City), Josh Clarke (Brentford), Scott Hogan (Aston Villa), Josh Murphy (Norwich City).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
