Gary Johnson insists that Bristol City can still achieve promotion to the Premiership despite watching The Robins draw their fourth game in eight outings on Saturday.

City’s goalless draw at home to Wolves combined with Stoke’s late win at Coventry saw the Ashton Gate outfit slip to third in the table.

But speaking to the Bristol Evening Post, Johnson revealed that a win at The Britania Stadium in next week’s top-of-the-table clash would give everyone at the club a massive lift:

‘It’s fair at this stage of the season to describe the Stoke game as must-win,’ he said.

‘We can’t go there thinking it will be OK to pick up a point, because that won’t be enough.

‘But that’s nothing unexpected. I always thought we would have to go there and win. I’ve said all along it will go down to the last game or two and we know what we have to do next week. We have to go to Stoke and win.’
