Bristol City defender Aden Flint has signed a new contract extension at Ashton Gate keeping him with the club until at least 2021.

The 28 year old has been in good form so far this season, scoring eight times in 37 appearances so far and the two time Player of the Year has now agreed terms on a long term contract that includes an option for the club to extend that deal through to 2021.

Speaking to the Official Site as the deal was signed, head coach Lee Johnson was obviously delighted with the news.

‘Aden has been in terrific form this season and this new contract is a reward for his performances and efforts for the team.’

Having arrived from Swindon Town back in the summer of 2013 for an undisclosed fee, he now has 234 starting appearances to his name, with a further three showings from the bench. In that time he’s returned 37 goals.
