Mansfield Town are ready to make a move for Bristol City’s Marlon Harewood according to the Stags assistant manager Adam Murray.

Harewood came to Ashton Gate in the summer and has gone on to make 17 appearances for the club.

It has been common Knowledge for some time that Harewood has been available for a move as he holds no part in Steve Cotterill’s plans for the future.

Murray told BBC Radio Nottingham: ‘He has been on the list and is one that we have looked at.

‘He is a good player and his career has proved his quality. Whether we sign him is a totally different ball game.’
