The referee in charge of Bristol City’s game at Fulham at the weekend is Phil Gibbs of the West Midlands.

The last time we saw Gibbs in charge of a City game was the 1-0 win over Oldham in November 2014.

There were three bookings in that game with City’s Derrick Williams and Luke Freeman seeing yellow and for Oldham, defender James Williams went into the book.

This game is only the third Championship game that Gibbs has been in charge of this season, he has spent most of his weekends in League one or two. He has however taken charge of 17 games so far and has shown 52 yellow cards and two red.

Gibbs has yet to take charge of a game this season in which he has shown no cards.

Assisting Gibbs on Saturday will be John Busby and Eva Matt. Fourth official duties will be carried out by Ian Cooper.
