Manager Derek McInnes has asked fans to come forward at the games and get right behind the lads to give them the boost they need to be spurred onto victory.

Robins went down 2-0 at the hands of Leicester on Saturday, leaving more to be desired after just one win in seven games.

But McInnes has faith in his players and hopes that the fans will come good and lift their side from the lowly 17th place they are currently in.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘We need more confidence. We have to work extremely hard as a group, stay tight and show our collective responsibility.

‘Our supporters also have a part to play in that. It is important we stay together and work hard to get the best out of the boys.

‘We get around each other here and we don’t castigate people and point fingers. I would say there is still work to be done, but there is also a lot of optimism.’
