Bristol City manager Derek McInnes was far from happy at the way his side performed at Brighton on Saturday.

The City boss was alarmed at the manner in which they lost the game when an all out fight for points is the order of the day for the Robins.

A goal in each half from Inigo Calderon and Will Buckley left the Scot fuming, although he had to admit that Brighton`s opening goal was something special.

He said: ‘We should have caused more problems than we did.

‘The opening goal was a wonder strike and although there was more of a tempo and impetus about us in the second half, the second goal killed the game.

‘We had plenty of the ball but didn’t do enough with it. We were reluctant to put the ball into good areas, and although we did better late on, we couldn’t get back into the game.’
