Bristol City boss Derek McInnes says that he will have to look for ways to strengthen his forward line after watching the 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

But at the other end of the field, a fine display of goalkeeping did not go un-noticed by City`s boss, he found time to praise the ex-England keeper.

McInnes said: ‘We are disappointed not to have worked their keeper more, but it wasn’t through lack of effort. Forest came for a point and worked hard to get it.

‘We defended strongly and on the odd occasion when Forest threatened David James showed why he has been a top goalkeeper for so many years.

‘It is clear we could do with a more physical presence up front and that is something I need to address during the January transfer window.

‘I can’t criticise the players today because I thought they were brave in the way they tried to build from the back and put everything into the 90 minutes.’
