City manager Derek McInnes was not too happy again with the mistakes that were made or the goals that his side once again shipped in.

The Robins had one of those days to forget after losing new signing George Elokobi to a nasty ankle injury near the end of the first half, an injury that has ruled the player out for the rest of the season.

But in City’s defence, although they did once again concede the goals, they never gave up trying to score which was evident by the fact that Adomah scored a deflected effort so late in the game.

McInnes told the club’s official website: ‘George has a shocking injury with a break and dislocation to an ankle. I am so sorry for the lad because his season is over.

‘We keep slitting our own throats with defensive errors and you can’t always score a boatload of goals to win games.

‘I’m annoyed because I keep having to stand here and make the same comments. It’s my responsibility to make us defend better and that was why I brought George in.

‘Now I have to look at the left-back position again. We also lost substitute Joe Bryan with concussion so it is a big problem.’
