McInnes Rubbishes Rumours

Bristol City will definitely not be going for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban during the transfer window according to boss Derek McInnes.

The City manager also rubbished rumours that midfielder Martyn Woolford has handed in a written transfer request.

Rumours of the two stories have got big over the last couple of days, mainly thanks to Twitter and Facebook.

But when asked by the Bristol Post about the stories, McInnes was only too happy to dismiss them as rubbish.

He said: ‘There is simply no truth in this story [Grabban]. I don’t know where it has come from.’

McInnes also added: ‘I can say quite categorically that I have not received any such request from Martyn Woolford, nor do I expect to.’
