McInnes Targets A Festive Six

City boss Derek McInnes is taking his side into the two games over the Christmas period looking for a full quota of six points.

City have two home games on the bounce, Watford are first up on Boxing Day is Watford followed on the Saturday by a visit from struggling Peterborough.

The Robins have been struggling to put together any sort of decent home form all season, but McInnes knows that if survival is the target then the home form has to change.

City have been able to play away from home a lot better than at Ashton Gate where they have not won a game since August.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘We have two very big home games now and we need to maximise our opportunities to go on a run.

‘That is going to be key for us because, if we don’t get our home form going, we’re going to struggle.

‘We were encouraged by our performance (at Ipswich) and, for whatever reason, we have not been able to do that at home.

‘We need to become a good team at home, we need to become a confident team at home and we need to become a winning team at home.’
