Saturday’s fixture at Millmoor between Rotherham United and Bristol City will go ahead after Rotherham were saved from liquidation by a consortium of local business men.
Consortium leader Denis Coleman of property developers Pinder Projects has stressed, however, that to guarantee ultimate survival, the Club require the continued good will and support shown by local people throughout the club’s crisis. Mr Coleman is urging supporters to carry on supporting the club audibly and financially, starting with tomorrow’s important home fixture with Bristol City.
Meanwhile the Millers have secured the services of ex-Barnsley striker Michael Boulding until the end of the season.
Boulding lacks match fitness, however, and is unlikely to feature tomorrow.
Gary Johnson has no new injury worries and is expected to name an unchanged team following City’s comprehensive victory last Saturday.
City supporters will also keep an eye on Deepdale, where Marcus Stewart will debut for Preston against Plymouth Argyle and may well find Matt Hill amongst his team mates, the former City defender having now recovered from injury.
