New Kit Revealed

Image for New Kit Revealed

We saw the badge, we saw the Puma logo, we saw a bit of shoulder with piping, we saw the DAS logo (returning after a three year absence).

This morning amid considerable fanfare all was revealed. In actual fact, I think it may have just been the Windows Vista logon chimes as bleary eyed I wanted to be the first to glimpse the new kit, the kit that may yet grace the Premier League.

In the absence of image rights I’ll do my best to describe it. You may find it easier just to view it at bcfc.co.uk. It is basically a hybrid of this seasons shirt and the shirt from 2004/2005. Back is the DAS logo, all white and room to stand a cider jar on the most modest of bellys. Gone is a lot of the white although the sleeves and collars are piped with white and the shoulders have white flashes. The shorts are white with red detail and the new Lancer Scott short sponsors logo in black.

The back is not shown. I’m still not sure whether we will have Blackthorn on our backs. A feature I feel comfortable with even though I prefer a jar of Thatchers.

The away kit is a negative of the home. White shirts and red shorts with detailing picked out in red and white respectively. I quite like it and of the two I prefer it.

I think I’ll get the away shirt and start wearing my old 2004/2005 shirt again, I think I have grown back into it….
