No Celebrations From Davies

Steven Davies says that should he score against Derby at Ashton Gate on Saturday, he won’t be celebrating.

Davies missed last week’s win at Sheffield Wednesday and if I was manager he would be missing this game as well.

Players should celebrate when they score, at one time a player used to love to put one over his old side, I can understand a player having respect for a side he used to play for but not go so far as to not celebrate, he has new fans now, they want to see celebrations and passion.

Davies told the Bristol Evening Post: ‘I definitely won’t celebrate if I score.

‘I had a great five years at the club and the fans were always brilliant with me.

‘The staff and everybody at the club are all top drawer as far as I’m concerned and I still have a lot of friends there.

‘I’d love to score but, if I do, there will be no celebrating it.’
