Bristol City manager Sean O’Driscoll was not short of praise for his players after they managed to pull off a 0-0 draw with high flying Hull City at the KC Stadium on Friday.

City were put out of their misery last weekend and relegated to League One, but they went to Hull with nothing to play for but pride and they did very well on what should have been a night of celebration for the Hull fans.

It’s only a minor dent in their promotion hopes for Hull, but it’s a much better result for the Robins than they have been able to get of late.

‘They are a good, fluid, footballing team that play in a way that give teams problems,’ O’Driscoll told Sky Sports News.

‘To restrict a team who looked destined to the Premier Division to just one shot – you have got to give us a bit of credit for that.’

City are back in action at Ashton Gate next week for their final home game of the season when they take on Huddersfield Town, so the Robins can still have a big say in how the Championship table finishes.
