Performance Of The Week Goes To City

Lee Johnson will be presented with the League Managers’ Association’s Performance of the Week award following the game against Ipswich Town.

Goals from Josh Brownhill, Famara Diedhiou and Bobby Reid secured a three one victory and our first victory at Portman Road since 1979. The game also extended Bristol City’s unbeaten run to eleven matches – helping Johnson to the Championship Manager of the Month award for September.

The LMA’s five man panel is made up of chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, and they determined that the performance and result deserved their recognition.

Johnson will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, and the LG Performance of the Week trophy to commemorate the result.
