Derek McInnes is taking his side into the home game with Charlton on Sunday with a positive outlook despite the Robins being in the middle of some alarmingly bad results.

Six straight defeats for City has seen the side slip to the bottom of the Championship table bringing something of a shock to fans who had hoped for much more this season.

City are not helped by the fact that they suffered a double injury blow in the midweek game with Birmingham at St Andrews, Stephen McManus and Cole Skuse set for around six weeks on the sidelines after suffered a knee injury and a fractured cheekbone respectively.

McInnes told www.bcfc.co.uk: ‘I have no doubts that we are capable of picking up points.

‘Last season we struggled to score goals but it’s not the case this time.

‘I feel when you know you have goals in the side you can be optimistic with what you can achieve. We have players that can make the difference.’
